How to choose correctly your Triflash?
Triflash is available in several ranges of approved models. Different options are available to you depending on your needs and the type of vehicle used - intervention vehicle, work vehicle, service vehicle... The choice of the size of your lighted triangles will depend directly on the weight of the vehicle to be equipped and the regulations in force:
- For vehicles with a GVW of more than 3.5 tons: you must install a Triflash with a light panel measuring 700 mm minimum (between 700 mm and 1000 mm). These are the AK5-700 models: TLP 700 or STPL 700.
- For vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of less than 3.5 tons: you must install a Triflash with a light panel measuring 500 mm. These are the models AK5-500: TLP 500 or STPL 500.
The choice of your Triflash then depends on the options you want on your vehicle:
- You wish to obtain a visibility of 80 meters: the Triflash must have a retro reflective film CL1 (Class 1): adapted for the city and the national roads.
- You wish to obtain a visibility of 250 meters: the Triflash must have a retroreflective film CL2 (Class 2): adapted for the freeway and the expressways.
Our range also allows you to choose between 1-sided (STLP) and 2-sided (TLP) models. The 1-sided models can be fixed:
- From the back on a rail.
- From the front or on a hinge with a screw system.
The 2-sided models must be fixed:
- On hinge with screws.
- On bar, adhesive support, or plate (with a combined system of screws, adhesives, and magnetic systems).
The standard Triflash is equipped with an AK5 lighted panel; we can also design AK14 panels on request and according to your needs. As a reminder, the use of Triflash is mandatory for all intervention and work vehicles ensuring the signaling of construction sites or temporary hazards, at a standstill or in slow progress on the road - watering machines, sweepers and refuse collection vehicles are exempted. The choice of the different options is not imposed by the regulation and depends on your needs and uses.
