The detection zone is 40 m to the front and 40 m to the rear of the sensor. As required by R151, the zone in which warnings are given to the driver is divided into three zones,
each measured from the vehicle's front bumper
(0 m).
The software complies with R151 when the sensors are installed in the position specified in the installation manual, i.e. between -2.35 m and -4.35 m (as indicated by the blue arrow).
Zone 1: 2m~ -7m (9m long)
Zone 2: -7m ~ -30m (23m long)
Zone 3: 2m ~ 7m (7m long)
Zones 1, 2 and 3 are the detection zones where audible alerts are made to the
driver, as required by regulation R151.
